2013 Knog Product Launch
Wednesday evening, at Eurobike 2012, Knog unveiled its latest range of lights and locks at their 2013 Product Launch Party, co-hosted with German distributor, Cosmic Sports.
Over 100 people turned out for the launch, to check out this year’s Knog booth, which blew everyone away with a rich emersion audiovisual experience that Melbourne-based installation artists ENESS had prepared.
The evening was a spectacle of abstraction, energy and colour where everyone had a chance to interact with the new Knog products. A very unique way to introduce the technical qualities of the new Knog Blinders -100% waterproof, USB rechargeable, seriously bright bike lights.
The new Blinder 1 is a high powered single LED light that pumps out 20 lumens of blinding front white light and 11 lumens at the rear. Being 100% waterproof and using its high powered surface mounted LED’s the Blinder 1 will ensure maximum visibility at over 500 metres.
With a burn time of over 2 hours in constant mode and up to 11 hours in eco flash mode this light will keep you lit well in to the night.
When the battery does eventually get low, the built in low-battery indicator will glow red to show the light need charging and then illuminate green when fully charged. Through using the lights inbuilt USB recharge system the light can be successfully charged from flat to full in just 2 and a half hours.
With a weight of only 15 grams, and using the simple in-built tool-less attachment, this light connects easily to handlebars, rear posts and frames of 22–32mm.
The Blinder 1 comes in 6 different styles. Expected in-stores October 2012 and retailing for $29.95 USD.
Among the lights, glowing in the dark, the latest additions to their tough lock range were showcased: The new Knog Milkman, Strongman and Bouncer u-locks (ART and Sold Secure accredited), and the Knog Sausage locks and Straight Jackets.
