Across The North

From Venice to Gressoney … and back. A 48 hour journey through northern Italy and its elements: sun, rain, snow and clouds. Officially, we went there to write an article on the Monterosa Ski. In theory, we wanted to enjoy Val D’Aosta’s freeride. In practice, we didn’t do any of that.

Unfortunately, the only tracks we left in two days were those of our tires after the little snowfall on Sunday. Windy on the slopes leaving the freeride unusable. Kilometers and kilometers traveled between the Ayas and Lys Valley – between Champoluc and Gressoney.

We returned with memories of fondue dinners, Barbera wine, a room at Pont St. Martin, ice waterfalls and Walser architecture. But I must say … we had some good laughs. Thanks again “Mr. Pezzo Grosso”.
