Adventure Awards Days
Adventure Awards is a festival dedicated to adventure and exploration that offers a possibility to everyone to live their own experience, by doing or just narrating it; it’s a place where anyone can put themselves in the game and share their own emotions.
ADVENTURE AWARDS DAYS
22-27 July – Livigno
On the same days on the Stralivigno, Livigno, the italian capital of the outdoor, greets another event dedicated to action, adventures and explorations, with a rich program full of appointments.
Training camps of trail running and ultra trail with national and international great athletes, such as Stefano Gregoretti and the canadian Ray Zahab (that will bring in Livigno the USA format Impossible2Possible) and the six time world champion of mountain running Marco De Photo and video workshop with important photographers and video makers: the Alpine photo workshop with Riky Felderer, the mountain bike photo workshop, with the pro-photographer Matteo Ganora and Jack Bisi.
Unmissable the trekking experience “etica” with Michele Pontrandolfo, the arctic explorer and the ultra-runner and motivator Marco Berni.
Among the guests, international names like the great alpinist Hervé Barmasse, who returned this year from the first concatenation of the four peaks of the Matterhorn, Emilio Previtali, free rider, alpinist and most of all, storyteller of great adventures, including the one of Simone Moro on Nanga Parbat, and the name of the american guru of the yoga power, Payge McMahon that will hold two stages of yoga dedicated to athletes.
Then there will be the first edition of the Adventure Photo Day, a photographic contest with teams (two or three people), dedicated to outdoor sports and nature, open to all.
And more: a story-trekking, a walk in the nature while listening to a story about courage and friendship, an outdoor dinner around the fire and to follow a theatrical show “(S)legati”, dedicated to the true story of Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, and a night walk going through the peaks to listen to an acoustic concert that accompanies the sunrise.
The adventure will also be in an auditorium: 40 of the best movies and documentaries from all around the world awarded with two awards; the Best Movie and the Green Award. In occasion of the evening gala will be awarded the Golden Beard (symbol of the adventurer, designed each year by a different artist) the Best Adventurer and the Best Storyteller 2014: the two souls of the festival.
Every day at 6 pm there is the appointment at the “base camp” on the pedestrian zone with the HappyAdventureHour, in company with athletes, writers, artists, musicians, explorers and adventures like Danilo Callegari, winner of the Best Adventurer award 2013, and Marco Peruffo, the first italian diabetic that faced one of the highest peaks of the Himalayas.
And more, exhibitions, special events, curiosities, climbing courses, slackline, kayak, preparation to the race, advices and the possibility to live an experience together with your heroes.
