Danny MacAskill signed with POC helmets for a three years partnership. The well-known trial and street rider from Edinburgh, Scotland, became famous with a youtube video that meanwhile has been watched over 16,000,000 times. POC is a Swedish company with the strong mission to reduce consequences of accidents for gravity sports athletes by developing and renewing what personal protection is all about.
Danny, who was even nominated for the Laureus World Sports Awards as “Action Sportsperson of the Year” in March 2010, received his brand new helmets just a few days ago. After breaking his collar bone twice within the last five months, Danny can’t wait to be back on his bike and hit the streets with his brand new POC gear very soon: “I am sooo excited to be working with such an amazing company and I am really happy to have the products and the support to push my riding to where I want it to be!”
“First we all gathered around someone’s computer at the office, watching one of Danny´s first You Tube films. We had never seen anything like it. This guy was something special! We dreamed about getting the guy on the team. Eventually we got in contact and Danny came to our offices to discover the opportunity. That too, was an extraordinary experience, the soft spoken, enthusiastic, humorous kid from Isle of Skye was such a pleasant “getting to know someone” occasion. We are so proud to have him on the team and that he chose POC”
says Stefan Ytterborn, CEO and Founder of POC.
