With the ZIP ON ABS CP 26l, EVOC is launching the world’s first camera backpack top attachment for sports photographers. Designed for the VARIO-LINE base unit from ABS®, this attachment combines our experience in the development of successful backpacks with the leading avalanche airbag system. Safety comes first: The attachment has already been crowned with the ISPO AWARD 2014.

With the ZIP ON ABS CP 26l, Evoc are launching the world’s first camera backpack top attachment for the VARIO-LINE base unit by ABS®. The approach is rather simple: The top attachments are fixed on the TÜV-certified carrying system via a zipper. The top attachment protects the camera while the ABS avalanche airbag system protects the photographer.

Designed in cooperation with and for professional photographers, this pack does not only offer enough storage space for a complete set of photo equipment, it also features a separate compartment for personal belongings. The camera compartment is well-padded and offers various configuration options with the help of dividers. Particular convenience is provided by easy side access to the camera. The attachment itself can be opened quickly and easily from the front thanks to large, ergonomic and lockable T-zipper pullers – even with gloves. In order to prevent the backpack (and its valuable load) from tipping over, the robust base plate with rubber feet guarantees a safe upright position while on the ground.

You can fix your skis, snowboard or snowshoes on the backpack attachment just as easily as your tripod, poles and ice pick without influencing the airbags’ functionality. Camera accessories, such as memory cards and batteries, can be stored in the transparent necessity pockets. The side compartment accommodates hydration systems of up to 2 litres in capacity, while your computer is secured in the 15” notebook compartment in the front. Safety first: The ZIP ON ABS CP 26l has a dedicated, easy-to-access compartment for avalanche gear. The imprinted emergency plan explains first steps to be taken in case of an avalanche, and serves as a cheat sheet in case of an emergency. A waterproof rain cover is included as well.
