freestyle.ch 2011 – snowboard vs freeski vs skateboard vs fmx
On the 24th and 25th of September 2011, all eyes will be on Zurich for Europe’s biggest freestyle sports competition! The freestyle.ch 2011 unites the elite riders in the Freestyle disciplines of Snowboarding, Freeskiing, FMX, and Skateboarding.
It will also premiere the first ever Skateboard Big Air contest in Europe! In the US that competition format has been a crowd puller for years and is very popular with the athletes.
A 9-metre takeoff, a 5.5-metre quarter-pipe and a total length of 53 metres – that monstrosity will catapult the skateboarders into the air!
This new element will also have a huge impact on its highlight competition – the Crossover Session, a spectacular cross-disciplinary contest. All four disciplines compete with each other and in the end the spectators crown their ultimate “crossover.champ”!
For the first time in its 19-year history, freestyle.ch will now include three single jumps. This makes the four sports more comparable in the Crossover Session and will definitely increase pace and thrills!
CROSSOVER = SNOWBOARD vs FREESKI vs SKATEBOARD vs FMX = CROSSOVER
The freestyle athletes will pull out all stops to secure the much sought-after title of crossover.champ.
