Kustom Landscape Altered Ep. 4

In 2008 Kustom put a stake in the ground with the Kustom Air Strike, a global aerial surfing competition. “Kustom’s mission with the Air Strike is simple. We want to produce surfing so inspired and revolutionary that it breaks all the rules, forever changing the face of surfing as we know it” says Harry Truscott, Kustom general manager.

The Kustom Air Strike is the worlds richest aerial surfing event, putting up a $50.000 incentive for one crazy air. It’s been won in the past by such innovators as Dion Agius, Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne and It’s On Again in 2010. The online shootout began at kustomairstrike.com on 01.01.2010 and runs until end of August 2010.  Clips will be posted as we receive them, so jump on and cast your votes. The top rated clips will be judged by a panel of 5 judges, and fifty gees will be rained on the surfer that produces the craziest air.

Together with filmmaker Kai Neville, Kustom prepared a four-part webisode series documenting Kai’s efforts to capture the winning ride for the 2010 Kustom Airstrike aerial surfing competition. The first webisode in the Landscape Altered series was released on the 15 of April and features surfers Mitch Coleborn, Clay Marzo, Jay Davies, Josh Kerr and Chippa Wilson.
