La Thuile, The 2015 Season Kicks Off
Time has come at this Valle d’Aosta location to open the 2015 summer season and to welcome the enthusiasts of enduro and of mountain biking in general: a unique territory packed with natural trails to explore and lifts.
Summer is on the doorstep and it is time to enjoy another facet of La Thuile: an alpine, lush valley with woods and pastures at high elevation, a terrace facing the highest peaks of Europe ready to welcome mountain bike enthusiasts from all over the world.
Well-known for the Enduro World Series stage hosted last year, this destination keeps growing and improving its offer of routes, although maintaining the qualities typical of a still natural trail area. The pristine and unspoiled landscape is the flagship of this place.
The MTB natural trail area will officially open on the 27 of June with the two chailifts Bosco Express and Chalet Express and a network of improved and perfected routes that will offer even more fun, with something for all tastes and a number of service upgrades for the new season. All this definitely consolidates the enormous potential of the region as a mountain-bike heaven for all disciplines: enduro, freeride, as much as cross-country and leisure cycling for families and for all those eager to discover this fantastic territory by bike.
During the 2015 season the enthusiasts will be able to challenge themselves on gravity-oriented trails of the same level of those used for the World Series races. The trail K (Maisonettes) becomes now the “Super K” of the EWS 2014 stage: an epic trail almost 8 km long and with 1000 m of elevation loss, now made even more fun thanks to the new boardwalks to skip the muddy zones.
For those with less experience, this season brings the new H (Flow) trail, an easy-graded trail that winds toward Les Suches with smooth flow and friendly gradients. The rest of the trail network has been changed and improved as well, in order to make the trails more integrated in their natural context, reducing the impact they have on the environment and strengthening their ‘flow’ character.
La Thuile racing scene is back during 2015, with a race two-days long (July 11-12) that reproduces the EWS format and is part of the Coppa Italia Enduro FCI series, the most important enduro championship at the national level. La Thuile Enduro will offer a great time to racers, enthusiasts and to all those interested: it will get the whole location involved and will give everyone the chance of being part of a high level sport event, in a very special place.
