Lance Armstrong joins STAGES in Paris

On Damien Hirst’s Trek Art Bike, Lance Armstrong arrived in Paris today along with the rest of the Tour de France and his ever-important LIVESTRONG message in full force. Alongside his own amazing achievement at this year’s tour, Nike and the Lance Armstrong Foundation put together STAGES to heighten global awareness of the cancer burden.

After 3 weeks of the world’s most famous cycling event, Lance Armstrong made his way to Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin where he joined artists, Ed Ruscha, Tom Sachs, KAWS, José Parlá, Dzine, Eric White, Yoshitomo Nara and Aaron Young, along with family and friends.

Having been on the road during the launch of STAGES, a show that was dedicated in its creation and meaning to Lance and his cause. Tonight was the first chance he was able to view the works in their full environment and setting, thoroughly impressed and excited, he spent some time taking photos. Talking with the artists and friends, a truly monumental event, something we will all remember forever.

“This exhibition projects hope, strength and commitment to millions and helps carry the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign all over the world. I am humbled by the effort and energy given by so many to bring STAGES to life.“ said Lance Armstrong.
