Another exciting Cliff Diving competition was held in the beautiful town of Polignano a Mare, Italy in front of 55.000 fans. And the divers fought outstandingly for the places in the podium.

Whilst it was just the penultimate stop for the men in this year’s World Series, Polignano a Mare held the Grand Finale of the women’s competition. American Rachelle Simpson was able to defend her title from last year and took her second victory in three competitions.

As for the men’s contest not the first place in the overall standings was important, the divers fought more for the second place after one unstoppable Gary Hunt. The Englishman scored his sixth win out of seven tour stops and added his personal best of 548.20 points to his score, cementing his first place and uncatchable lead in the 2015 World Series.

Columbian Orlando Duque came in second, closely followed by Jonathan Paredes from Mexico. This also reflects in the overall standings where the two athletes are separated by only 2.45 points.
