Tell me about the story of the band!
We play music from a while in different bands from different genres. In the summer 2013 Marco and I (Andrea Amerini) had a couple of songs and came to Annalisa and Manuele to start a new project. We started to play and wrote new music, and we liked it, we recorded a demo to see what could come out. In Autumn, we recorded the LP “Someone Left Behind” and we needed a second heavy guitar in addition and we called Andrea who joined the band. We wrote the LP together and we love play our songs. As a first work as a band this is a good declaration of intents for us.

What did you do in the last six months?
Played a lot. Old songs, new songs for the next album.

What have you got in your wallet now?
I’ve got plenty of stuff in my wallet now, such as PostePay, bancomat, my ID card, some random receipts, but I honestly don’t remember having any money earned by the band so far.

Why have you chosen this name for your band?
I’ve always been very fascinated by blood. Not blood as a fluid, but the idea of life strictly connected with it. So I’ve decided to use this word, adding ‘hot’ to define something alive that runs free. ‘Sunday’, because I hate this day. I’m always angry with my football team and most of the time I end up thinking too much.

How important is the look/appearance for your band?
Appearance and look are connected with music. Appearance should be the final touch if a band has already found its own musical dimension. Without this it’s only useful shit.

Tell us about the new LP “Someone Left Behind”. Are you fully satisfied with it?
I’m very satisfied with SLB. I think it’s the best work we could do in that moment. Obviously is very influenced by our musical roots and it would be weird on the contrary.

Which is the highest point of the LP?
In my point of view, the highest result is “Blood Party”. I love its structure, its melodic chorus and its rotten alternative mood.

…And the low point?
I don’t know sincerely, we worked hard, and as a first work we are pretty satisfied.

How would you define your sound?
I can describe our sound as “Nu-grunge with a touch of pop stoner attitude”. We bring the mood of middle 90’s bands without the suffering of that decade. We are the missing leg of Alice in Chain’s dog.

Grunge. Describe for me this word! And what do you think, is a good compromise to describe your style?
I follow many genres, but I’ve always preferred dark attitude in music. I think that Grunge has been one of the best expressions of internal disease focusing attention on the melody; a sort of aggression with delicate manners.

Which bands have influenced your style?
Talking for myself, my main influences are: Metallica, Type O Negative, Pyogenesis, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Thee STP and Queen. “Kill’em all”, “October Rust”, “Twinaleblood”, “Dirt”, “Superunknown”, “Purple” and “Kind of Magic” should be in everyone’s bookshelves.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Money, women, Thailand and two of our songs on UK top charts… Not in that order.

Tell me some of the bands you admire.
At the moment I admire Devildriver, Behemoth, Royal Blood, Manes, DHG and a lot of old bands such as Paradise Lost, Moonspell and At The Gates.

What song is in your head right now?
Anathema’s “Untouchables II” from “Weather Systems; a huge masterpiece”.

Name 3 words that describe your band.
Perseverance, life and blood.

Which are the best and the worst qualities of your band?
We are like many other bands who try to do their best and say something that makes sense. We just play. Our best quality is play good songs but sometimes we can’ t do it, probably this is the worst one.

And of your local music scene?
Turin had a local scene, especially in the old school Hardcore. Now, there is not a real scene based on a genre, a lot of bands which want come out, but I can’t define it as scene.

What is the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with Hot Sunday Blood?
I can’t describe any embarassing situation because we are too young as a band and we haven’t started creating troubles yet.

Have you got a good reason to be in Behind Magazine?
We are in Behind Magazine probably because someone is interested in something different than Taylor Swift and One Direction.

Have you got something to add?
I suggest to like us on Facebook, give a chance to the album and follow us live!!!
