New sponsor & athletes for Livigno Freeride World Qualifier 4*
Carosello 3000 is a new sponsor for Livigno Freeride World Qualifier 4* and together with Valtellina’s flagship resort will support Freeride World Tour’s qualifier event, during European Freeride Festival. The contest is open to 80 athletes, divided into the 4 categories Ski, Snowboard, Women, Men, who will compete to win € 10,000 total prize money as well as upgrade their position in the final ranking of Freeride World Qualifier, in order to access the FWT.
The challenge will take place on the 2nd of February, with waiting period from to the 3rd to the 5th of February, on the North-East side of mountain Corna di Capra, Valle delle Mine. The path will be chosen basing on weather conditions and all the athletes will be lifted up by helicopter and shall hike towards the start. Judges’ evaluation will take in account factors such as: the chosen line, time used, control and style while riding, aerial tricks, crashes. The last few days snowfalls, added to the ones went down over last December, created the base for Livigno Freeride World Qualifier: Corna di Capra mountain has been closed to excursionists 30 days before the race takes place, in order to offer the athletes an intact soil. Weather forecast for coming days promises the perfect conditions of powder that will allow the participants to express their own skills.
