Luca Merli and Matteo Ferrari gave birth to a surf trip documentary celebrating the surf dimension in Italy, the beauty of this sport, the passion inside of any italian surfer. A genuine lifestyle documentary filming a place usually not considered among the surfing musts.

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, Block10 has just published the full documentary on Vimeo.

The 16mm and super8 was their best friend for the most part of the work, while HD was just used for little parts, as everybody knows that for stressing the beauty of the italian landscapes the best way is applying a high-quality photography.

It is a pilgrimage to “our” waves roaming among Liguria, Toscana and the south-west Sardinia coast to the sea storms, the stand-byes, the dawns, sunsets and the great challenges, laughs and friends, diving into so true, striking, real places.

You will be part of the everyday life of the riders and of their point of view, feeling the same daily freedom and wilderness while preparing to the day, while waiting for the big waves, inside the hardest sides of the trip, the secret eye of Luca and Matteo costantly pointed on them, on their passion and skill.
