Pear Shaped Apparel
It’s been a big year at Pear Shaped Apparel. They’ve opened the first Brighton based flagship store, released two exclusive seasonal collections for John Lewis and hosted a pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch.
Arcadia SS15 Collection
For SS15 Pear Shaped Apparel have introduced new elements to their distinct style, carefully tailoring the garments to be the perfect fit and weight.
The main focus for this seasons Arcadia SS15 Collection was to create timeless classics built upon fundamental principles of sustainable produce, and finished with the classic PSA fast-forward logo. They have collaborated with Olivia Savage on a series of Illustrations exploring the Urban Arcadia that surrounds us, harmonizing nostalgia with idyllic visions of urban wilderness.
Pear Shaped Apparel is the in house brand of PSA Store, an independent streetwear store based in The Brighton Open Market, Brighton, BN1 4JU.
The first t-shirt printed by PSA in 2007 was the ‘Ya Dun Know’ tee which was sold at club nights all over the city of Brighton on the South Coast of England. This tee became the first PSA garment to be sold in the RareKind Gallery and a tie collaboration with local tailor “Gresham Blake” followed. The tie collaboration has been worn by various celebrities and is a firm favourite of Krishnan-Guru Murthy of the Channel 4 News. The success of the collaboration inspired the next collection ‘Apples & Pears’. One thousand branded runner ducks were placed around Brighton the night before this collection was dropped, a promotion that made it into the press and cemented the brand as a key player in the Brighton clothing market.
