Shralp 142 is out now!
The all new issue of Shralp video podcast is out now and features a ton of interesting stuff! This is what exactly the 142 issue is all about:
TTR 6 Star Burton European Open (BEO)
Laax, Switzerland / 15-16 Jan 2010
A lot of stuff is going on in Snowboarding, so get ready for shralp! #142 from January 24th 2010.
Let’s start with the Euopen Open in Laax.
What happened? Mikkel Bang looked like the winner already leading with 92 points. Peetu Piiroinen messed up his first two runs but pulled himself together for his last attempt. 93 points for him, a first place in the BEO slope style and the TTR world ranking.
BTW 3rd place went to Norwegian Gjermund Braaten who made it all the way though the pre-qualifiers.
And Peetu went for it. Again his first two runs were rather disappointing. His teammate Ilkka-Eemeli Laari, another young gun who made it all the way through the qualification rounds, lead the comp.
And again Peetu used his last chance, showed a perfect run and won, leaving Ilkka-Eemeli the second place and Iouri Podladtchikov the third.

At the same weekend the Dew Tour stopped in Utah.
3rd place in the superpipe Jack Mitrani.
2nd place went to Steve Fischer.
14,000 people watched Danny Davis winning the superpipe comp with his second run, after the messed up his first. Well, I really think you guys should work on your consistantcy.
Nevertheless, together with his win at the last tour stop Danny is now the Dew Tour leader, but he injured himself the other day and it is not clear yet when he will be able to ride again.
Next day was slopestyle.
16 year old rookies and friends Sage Kotsenburg and Tyler Flanagan became 3rd and 2nd only beaten by spin to win master Chas Guldemond.

Last contest of this episode. A few shots from the largest girls only snowboard competition: The TTR 6 Star Roxy Chicken Jam.
Unfortunately, although the contest was held as a carbon neutral event, the weather showed it’s grey side. But the park was great and the riding level was high. But hear yourself:
