Spring Classics 2016

Until May 29th, the legendary Spring Classics on the Kaunertal glacier are on. During this time the park is expanded to its maximum size and leaves with its jump- and jibline and the minishred nothing to be desired. Furthermore, there are still two events waiting for you: the Prime Sports Shred Day on May 21st and the Goodbye BBQ on May 29th. As a highlight, all Tyrol Snowcard owners get the day pass for 16 Euros from now on.

On April 7th the Snowpark Kaunertal has opened its doors to the Spring Classics. Following the last years, everyone knows what that means from the last couple of years: These almost two months guarantee a perfectly shaped park, which ensures all snowboarders and freeskiers massive fun. When all other resorts close their gates for the season, the Snowpark Kaunertal offers Spring Vibes until late May.

At the Snowpark Kaunertal, every freestyler finds a perfect terrain to learn new tricks of simply to have fun.
In the kicker line, 2 pro-kickers, a hip-feature and 2 easy- and medium kickers offer flying lessons to advanced shredders. But also jibbers get what they want in the park: 25 features with numerous rails, tubes, tanks and a pole jam can be ridden. Freestyle beginners will be happy in the Minishred. It offers Table Tops, a Butter-Box, an Up- and Down box, a Dancefloor and kids kickers.
Oberlandtour, Spring Break, GAME of Go-Shred and the Champion Jibs

For the kick off of this year’s Spring Classics numerous shred rookies headed up the Kaunertal Glacier to compete at the Oberlandtour – the TSV Bezirk Landeck freestyle Contest Tour. 40 highly motivated snowboarders and freeskiers came to ride the perfectly shaped park and mainly to have fun. Two weeks later (22nd-24th of April), the Hessians invaded the Snowpark Kaunertal, because it was time for the Champion Jibs. Next to a Giant X-Slalom and a slopestyle contest, the Germans partied until the wee hours of the morning.

The weekend after the next highlight followed: the Spring Break. With events like Dragon’s Methodical Madness, the Witness the Hitness presented by Monster Energy and the DC Rail Jam, next season’s boards could be tested. On May 14th the legendary GAME of go-shred took place at the Snowpark Kaunertal. The around 40 highly motivated shredders didn’t care about the bad weather and had an awesome time! But that was not all, there are still two events happening for the remaining two weeks of this year’s Spring Classics: the PRIME Sports Shred Day and the Goodbye BBQ on May 29th. At the Prime Sports Shred day on May 21st, you can look forward to finest freestyle action including photo shoots in the park and jam sessions.
