Spy Rail Jam 2007
Varese Repubblica square, october 13. A massive feature is situated right in the middle of the central square of this nice northern Italy city.
The third edition of the first international railjam organized in Italy is ready to go.
Riders from Norway, USA, France, Finland, Germany and Holland came here to challenge the Italian ambassadors of this contest.
The staircase include a straight rail fixed to the right wall, a gap box, a double kinked box and and a 8 meter down rail.
The 24 invited riders are divided into 2 groups for a 1.30 hours jam session in order to choose the 16 finalists.
Many big names are here tonight to battle for the fat prize: IOURI PODLATCHIKOV, SILVAYN “L’AMI” MONNEY, KAREEM EL RAFEE, MIKI ZIRNGIBL, FREDERIK EVENSEN, PETER KONIG, GULLI GUDMUNSSON, JUHA KINNUNEN, STEFAN MAURER, MORGAN LE FAUCHEUR and the nationals DEVID DE PALMA, MATTEO ZAPPATERRA, MAX STAMPFL, SIMON GRUBER, RENZO “TATO” CHIALA and MARCO “JOHNNY” MORANDI.
The trick level is high, fs board pretzel out is the basic trick, 270 in is usual and 270 out is welcome.
4000 euros is the prize the atheltes are competing for, every kind of combo rail trick is nailed on the metal features; at the end the “Scanners” are conquering the podium with Risto Ruokola first and Fredu Sirvio second, both from Finland and Pascal Valli, last year winner, for third.
