Stubai Premiere 2015 – The Stubai Zoo is officially open!

With the seventh edition of the Stubai Premiere (16th to 18th of October) winter was welcomed at the Stubai Zoo. Hundreds of snowboarders from all over Europe traveled to the opening of the Stubai Glacier to unpack their first tricks in the perfectly shaped park, to test the latest products at the Brandsaloon, to compete at events and to turn the night into day at numerous parties. All snowboarders had lots of fun and the Stubai Premiere was a complete success!

Thanks to Mother Holle, who has shaken her pillows just right before the Stubai Premiere, a perfect park setup with lots of fresh snow could be conjured and numerous shredders from all over Europe came at their expense. The park could be built up to its full size and bribed with its diverse setup, which guaranteed fun for everyone.

The highlights of the weekend were certainly the side events, where speaker Henry Jackson brought everyone into the right mood. On Friday the first event, the Horesfeathers “Wheel of Shred”, took place at the Zoo. Despite light snowfalls, all shredders were motivated to unpack their tricks at the Triple Down Rail and battled for cash and Horsefeathers goodies. On Saturday, the absolute highlight of the side events followed: The DC “Back to Back Session” at the pro-line. At bright sunshine the 20-members starting field had the task to convince the judges with their best tricks – front- and backside. The Tyrolian snowboarder Werni Stock was the winner of this event with a huge backside 900 to switch backside 900. He won a brand new DC Board as well as 500 Euros in cash. On Sunday, the final event of the Stubai Premiere took place with ThirtyTwo’s “Hit the Tank”. The numerous snowboarders had to show their best tricks to ThirtyTwo team riders like Benny Urban and Joe Sexton in order to win cash and goodies.
The Brandsaloon at the Eisgrat mountain station prevailed once again a hive of activity. The best snowboard brands out there offered their latest products for a free trial and numerous shredders used this offer to get an idea of what to buy. Moreover, shredders could chill to the finest DJ-sounds and talk to the like-minded about the latest snowboarding gear.

On Friday and Saturday evening 15 girls took part at the Roxy Girls Snow Workout presented by Golden Ride. Yoga teacher Isabell showed the girls how to relax after a long day on the mountain. Afterwards, the girls got pampered at the spa of the Hotel Stubaierhof.

The party didn’t just rock on the glacier—all premiere partying rites were observed in Neustift im Stubaital as well. On Friday, the Drunken Masters, Eskei 83 and DJ Mittone made the crowd go wild at the Freizeitzentrum. On Saturday the party continued with the video premiere from ThirtyTwo ‘s new movie “2032” at the Freizeitzentrum, followed by the absolute party highlight of the Stubai Premiere: The sound clash between the K.I.Z sound system and the Jugglerz. Hundreds of party guests celebrated until the early morning hours and will certainly think back to this night for a long time .
The Stubai Zoo with it’s kids-, jib-, medium and pro-line is now officially open and will remain open until spring. Because of its diverse setup, fun is guaranteed for everyone.
From October 24th to Noverber 20th the next highlight takes place at the Stubai Zoo: The Stubai Prime Park Sessions. The world’s best freeskiers and snowboarders get together to train and have a good time. On Noveber 21st, there will be the Demo Day at the Zoo, where the Prime Line will be open for the public and everyone gets the chance to meet and greet international freeski and snowboard pros. Put a big red mark on this date in your calendar!
