Swatch Girls Pro, Nikki Van Dijk takes victory
Four days of amazing surfing ended yesterday with the Final of the ASP Women’s 6 Star Event in Hossegor.
Nikki Van Dijk (AUS) and the 16-year-old Mahina Maeda (HAW) won their semi-finals and moved forward to the final.
With a score of 13.67 points Nikki Van Dijk crowned her amazing week with this year’s title.
“It was a difficult final with not a lot of waves and I really needed the ranking points so this win means a lot to me,” said Van Dijk.

The really proud runner-up Maeda secured her best career result ever (also finished third in the Pro Junior Competition) and received a wildcard for Trestles.
“It’s hard to believe that I made it to the final and received a spot to my first ever WCT event,” said Maeda.
