T-Mobile Local Support Dirt Challenge

Again, the T-Mobile Local Support Dirt Challenge is the opener for the German BMX and MTB scenes. The dirt jump contest for AM and Pro riders takes place on March 27th, 2010 at the indoor trails of the Halle 5 in Mainz/Germany. In the run-up to the contest, Markus Hampl and Benny Paulsen are going to reshape the jumps so that all riders will find perfect conditions for some excellent dirt action.

Like in the years before, two riders will partner up to compete in separate BMX and MTB classes. But there’s some innovation regarding the prizes: In 2010 it’s all about the spot support! In Pro-class both BMX and MTB riders compete for financial support worth € 3.500 to improve their favorite spot back home. Whether they spend the money for a new obstacle, tools or the rental for heavy equipment – the winners decide! This year, spot support is waiting for the amateurs, too.

The best teams on 20” and 26” each receive € 2.000 for their spots. The teams coming in at places 2 and 3 gain prizes like mini spot support and tons of stuff from Pro-tec, Fiat Freestyle Team and Eastern Bikes.

But that’s not everything! Again, the T-Mobile Local Support Dirt Challenge is the sole qualification for the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds on April 25th, 2010 in Duisburg/Germany. The top 3 Pro riders and, thanks to the T-Mobile Wildcard, the best amateur on 20” and 26”, will be able to join the exclusive starting line-up. Just to name a few, last year’s winner Rob Darden and Amir Kabbani as well as Ryan Nyquist and Sam Pilgrim are going to participate at this world class event.

There will also be a free BBQ for all riders at the T-Mobile Local Support Dirt Challenge on March 27th, 2010 to help gather strength for this tough competition. The Local Support Service Van will be there as well to help with maintenance and necessary repairs all day long.
