The Future of Cycling Shines at the Eurobike Demo Day

The fifth EUROBIKE DEMO DAY once again exceeded previous attendance records. Under perfect weather, 1,840 visitors from the cycling world came from all across the globe to Argenbühl on Tuesday to put the newest products and innovations from 116 exhibitors and brands to the test.

They were joined in the picturesque Allgäu region by 608 media representatives from 34 countries who reported from this important meeting of the world’s cycling industry.

The DEMO DAY was held one day before the official opening of the leading cycling trade show EUROBIKE (August 31st – September 3rd 2011). Five different bicycle test tracks were made available to the tradesmen and journalists to test the latest in racing, reclining folding and city bicycles, as well as mountain bikes and e-bikes.

“We couldn’t imagine a better start to the show. The EUROBIKE DEMO DAY offers a unique combination of a trade show featuring the newest innovations in cycling and a bike festival and is always very well received by our customers” said Klaus Wellman, Messe Friedrichshafen’s CEO, in summing up the results of the day in Ratzenried, a village in the community of Argenbühl. “Argenbühl was an important factor in today’s success – they provided us with many volunteers and received the biking world with open arms” added Project Leader Stefan Reisinger.
