THE NEXT BIG THING! IN-DIVIDE

Talk to me about the story of the band!
In-Divide born as a project amongst friends, we all knew each other because of the music and notwithstanding the distance (none of us currently lives in the same city and each of us if in average far from the other 250km) we wanted to start creating something to share together.

What did you do in the last six months?
Working on our debut album “The passengers” and started composing something new, organizing quite cool things we are going to annouce for 2015 (everybody says that, but this time is the truth).

What have you got in your wallet now?
A couple of euro, some strangely cut/shred business card and a schedule of interesting show for 2015.

Why have you chosen this name for your band?
We were like brainstorming together and it came out, it sounded really cool!

How important is the look/appearance for your band?
We play hardcore music, what count is on the stage and in the speakers.

Tell us about the debut album “The passengers”. Are you fully satisfied with it?
Yeah, we definitely are, I think it’s quite a good work and it does make the job, we wanted to give a first bite, without borign anybody and making clear that In-Divide must be seen live.

Which is the highest point of the LP?
First 22 minutes

…And the low point?
From the 23rd minute on… Ok, seriously, I love “Fake lions”, “Nobody will divide us” and “Decadence”, there is no song I particularly dislike, but next LP will have to last a little longer.

How would you define your sound?
Straight, fast, direct, sharp.

Punk-hardcore. Describe for me this word!
Punk-hardcore is when you do what you want, everybody does not like it and you just do not give a shit about it, is that knot you’ve got between stomach and heart that make you almost cry when you listen for the 12th thousand time to “Broadcasting” or read the lyrics of “Just look around”, punk-hardcore is when you do not give up in life, ever.

Which bands have influenced your style?
Well, most direct influence comes from Startoday, If I Die Today and Screaming Eyes… Ok, again, seriously, I guess is not hard to hear Comeback Kid influence, but also the more New York Hardcore scene comes out.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
To me happiness is when the persons you love count on you and you get to help them and make them happier.

Tell me some of the bands you admire.
I literally grew up with Sick Of It All, I could Imagine music without Queen but not without Sick Of It All. They are just my favourite band, then we could keep talking about lot of great band I’ve seen live but let me say I really admire that band which commits to music (whichever it is) and relies on its strength to deliver its own message, not caring about all the bullshit that is going on in the music today, yes that is the band I admire.

What song is in your head right now?
“False Freedom” by While She Sleeps.

Name 3 words that describe your band.
Friends, Fun, Beppewithhisclassyshirt (was that cheating?).

Which are the best and the worst qualities of your band?
Our best quality will be live show, bad thing is that we live so far from each other.

And of your local music scene?
Very easy, best are those who go to the live shows, worst are the ones who do not.

What is the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with In-Divide?
After we drink a little being with In-Divide itself could challenge decency according by the most.

Have you got a good reason to be in Behind Magazine?
I hope so, if not you might have done something wrong!
