The next big thing! Mainline
What did you do in the last six months?
Playing as much as possible, working a lot on our music, planning gigs, and of course spending time with our friends and our ladies.
What do you’ve in your wallet now?
A pair of pins, 10 euros, one dollar, one pound, a blockbuster card, my driving license, my identity card, some notes with old shopping lists.
How much important is the image (look) for your band? Why?
Image and music are both important for a band, but they can bring the band to reach new level only if they are together. Nowadays a lot of band spend too much time and money taking care of their image (more tattoos, more piercing, cool shoes and gear). They often sound perfect on CD as much as their live gig sucks. Sad… More true music and less appear!
What’s your idea of perfect happiness?
Good friends, good music and vibes, and of course a lot of beer.
Who are some of the bands you admire?
The list will be too long. Any member of the band have different opinion about this. For my side I really like Meshuggah, Periphery, Textures, and other Djent bands.
What song is in your head right now?
An old song from Misery Signals: “The Year Summer Ended in June”. Simply Epic.
Name 3 words that describe your band.
Raw, Melodic, Sick.
The best and worst quality of your band?
Constancy during these years, readiness to seize opportunities.
What’s the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with Mainline?
Playing in a squat in Wien with a punk band of totally drunk idiots. Disgorge and beer everywhere. Really embarrassing playing and dribbling vomit on the stage.. but with a lot of fun.
What’s the most ridiculous rumour you’ve read about the band?
During all these years, the most frequent rumour was the band split. We are thinking on a FAQ section of our website where we answer: Not yet, thank you.
Do you’ve a good reason to be in Behind Magazine?
I usually read Behind Mag and I was thinking how cool should be an interview on the magazine.
