THE NEXT BIG THING! TEMPLE OF DEIMOS
Talk to me about the story of the band!
Born in 2006, in 2008 we released our first EP “Damage”, in 2010, Elevator Records published
our first full length “Temple Of Deimos” which taken the band in 50 gigs all around Italy till 2012. After 18 months without drummer, during Fabio and Riccardo worked to writing new songs, Fabio Cuomo (Eremite Mope) joined the two to help record the new album “Work To Be Done”. After recording sessions the band was completed with the newcoming drummer Daniele, who allowed Temple of Deimos to gain stability. On 31st 2014 Go Down Records published “Work to be done”, with promotional stand from Taxi Driver, This Is Core and PR Lodge Agency Europe.
What did you do in the last six months?
We had to negotiate with “Greys” to release back Fabio so we can start the tour.
What have you got in your wallet now?
Some picks, few money.
Why have you chosen this name for your band?
We have always been fascinated by the universe and its mysteries, we had read in an scientific magazine that astronomers have never been able to give a clear origin to Deimos: one of the two satellites of Mars. This peculiarity has immediately fascinated us, so in 2006, when we had to choose the name for the band, we thought of Deimos. Also, in ancient Greece no one cared to erect a temple in his honor. We made it, “Temple Of Deimos”.
How important is the look/appearance for your band?
Usually on stage we are dressed, but what we really care is the groove and the power we can burst out from our instruments.
Tell us about the new album “Work to be done”. Are you fully satisfied with it?
Being fully satisfied never help. We are proud for the result, but we hope to do better day after day.
Which is the highest point of the LP?
We think that can be the fact the whole album should be listened one breath, cause every single track needs the next.
…And the low point?
We don’t know that yet. Help us discover it to do better in the future.
How would you define your sound?
Desert Rock.
Stoner-rock. Describe for me this word!
Stoner-rock its a word so abstract like Grunge. When Kyuss received same question, they answered: Stoner? What’s Stoner? We think the word Stoner-rock would describe that historic imaginary made of illegal rave parties in the american desert with jamming and drugs.
Which bands have influenced your style?
For sure Queens Of The Stone Age, Fatso Jetson, Yawning Man, Masters Of Reality, The Black Angels, Nirvana, Mark Lanegan.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A great gig with porno end.

Torche, Mondo Generator, Qotsa, Danko Jones.
What song is in your head right now?
Nicotine Valium Vicodine Marijuana Ecstasy and Alcohool.

Robot, Alien, Rock.
Which are the best and the worst qualities of your band?
We are really Heavy and crazy!

In our town, there are lot good bands, also in our scene.
What is the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with Temple Of Deimos?
When, after a gig, our bassist Riccardo, risked to be killed by a girl with great tits.
