Tom Sachs, Casey Neistat and the Ethics of Stolen Bikes.

Last friday at WNW (New York) Tom Sachs and Casey Neistat lead the assembled crowd through two films about stolen bikes in New York.

While all agreed it was never ethical to steal “somebody’s bike,” all also agreed where bikes had been abandoned, they could ethically be considered no longer “somebody’s bike” – and could therefore be ethically “reclaimed” by methods that might otherwise be considered theft.
