Townhill 2009
Bergamo opens its gates of the ancient Venice walls for the fourth edition of Townhill, planned on 25th/26th April 2009.
Townhill Bergamo shocked the world of Gravity in mountain bike with a unique mix of show and style in an unbelievable playground as the Old City of Bergamo, Italy.
After 4 years, Townhill entered the hearths of riders who raced in the ancient paths of Bergamo and of the citizens who, watching out of the windows, had the opportunity to see in action the best mountain bikers of the world.
Mysticfreeride and Spiagames are ready to write another chapter of Mountain Bike in Italy, fixing the date of the fourth edition of Townhill Bergamo on 25th and 26th of April 2009, thanks to the great support and enthusiasm of Columbia Sportswear and with the news partners BUFF, the original Multifunctional Headwear, and Geax “Drive your passion”, tyres supplier.
The skyline of Bergamo will be the wonderful playground and “Campo della Fara” will be the center of the games while many news are in program to increase the show and the beauty of the two courses, first for Downhill and the second for Slopestyle.
Downhill will be drawn longer than last year but always far from the main traffic street to let the riders to train all the day of Saturday. Application will open from 20th March and will close with the first 200 riders.
North Shore, jumps and huge wood bridges will increase the fun of the game for the lovers of big emotions. For all the rest, a second line will guarantee to come back home safely.
Slopestyle will be developed at “Campo della Fara”, with five areas like Drop In, Wall Ride, Dirt Jumps, well knows as the best Slopestyle contest in Italy.
At “Campo della Fara”, a big selection of lateral events will full the day for spectators and riders with a big selection of bike brands booths, BBQ grill, concert and at the end … price giving of the top riders.
