Originally used as a dare for young people cliff diving developed the last years into a very popular extreme sport. Professional athletes perform exceptional dives from over 20 meters. But what makes cliff diving so fascinating?

It’s a pure sport in a pure location – no technical gear, no extensive constructions, it’s merely all about the body and mind. These world-class sports competitions only ask for a lot of courage and body control. Furthermore the extreme height of the cliffs and the closeness to nature make cliff diving so special.

With a tour stop in the Azores the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series provides a perfect opportunity to explain the fascination this sport has.
