Luca Merli and Matteo Ferrari are leaving to give life to Undae Nostrae, the first Italian surf movie shot entirely in 16mm.

An “on the road”, documentary style film to show the peculiarity of the Italian surf scene and the beauty of this sport, even in a country that’s not usually considered a top spot for surfing. The film will be shot mainly in 16mm and super 8 and only a small part will be shot in HD in order to emphasize the beauty of the landscape.

Will be given a lot of relevance to the action, with slow motion segments and an emotional editing. will be shown the italian surfers lifestyle and the endless search for good waves.

The surfers: Thomas Cravarezza, Alessandro Ponzanelli, Pierpaolo “Pito” Giachero”, David Pecchi and Lorenzo Castagna.
Spots: Genova and surroundings, Versilia in Tuscany and Sardegna.

The film will be airing thoughout 2010 until the end of 2011. During the filming, the crew will shoot a photo reportage which will be published the italian edition of GQ magazine.
